Job DescriptionKamran & Company is a leading food service equipment provider and design agency. Over the past 30 years, we have cultivated trusted partnership across a diverse set of markets delivering over $1B in construction value.In this position, you will oversee and manage the accounting operations, payroll processes, accounts payable and customer billing activities. You will provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and efficient business operations. This role plays a crucial part in collaborating with the Controller to support the company's financial goals and objectives. This is an office-based position located at our headquarters in Santa Barbara, CA.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Manage the month-end closing process, including reviewing reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements
Oversee banking activities, including account reconciliations and cash management
Supervise the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments
Maintain general ledger accuracy and review account reconciliations
Oversee the customer billing process for completed jobs, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing
Review customer billing tasks and support project billing needed
Review and approve payroll calculations, deductions, and related reporting for accuracy and compliance
Ensure timely processing of payroll and record related journal entries
Review and ensure accurate reporting of sales tax and other tax obligations

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management roles.
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial reporting standards and payroll regulations
Proficiency in NetSuite desired
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
