    Job Description

    This position has primary responsibility for the stable and efficient design and operation of all IT infrastructure. In addition to the day-to-day management of the team, the IT Operations Manager will be responsible for network security, backup and recovery, server hardware, and for the provisioning, installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of all systems and related infrastructure. This position works closely with the Director of IT and other members of the IT team to ensure that all components of IT operations are secure and stable.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provides leadership and promotes personal and professional improvement for Security and Infrastructure team.
    • Responsible for implementation, operation and support of technology infrastructure services including network, servers, storage, computers, and other technology platforms across the business.
    • Maintains an efficient and stable business system and communication environment.
    • Provides project management for technology and system related changes.
    • Collaborates with internal teams and vendors to ensure infrastructure meets business needs.
    • Develops and maintains documentation of all infrastructure and procedures.
    • Ensures 99.9% uptime of production system.
    • Safeguards information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems.
    • Identifies and defines system security requirements
    • Protects system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.
    • Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities, reporting violations.
    • Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
    • Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.
    • Upgrades system by implementing and maintaining security controls.
    • Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports, communicating system status.
    • Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
    • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications.
    • Ensures that the company knows as much as possible, as quickly as possible about security incidents
    • Writes comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement
