    **Its Work That Matters.**

    **Overview**

    Buyer, Supply Chain is accountable for all duties related to efficient and cost conscious procurement of equipment and supplies utilized by CHLA. It is responsible for all needs identified by customers (user departments) including specification of supplies and equipment, standardization of said supplies and equipment, placing /expediting orders, securing installation and delivery as well as assuring proper payment by Accounts Payable. The Buyer promotes the most effective use of the organization's funds in the acquisition of assigned commodities. Performs the daily ordering functions, and serves as the primary liaison with internal customers. The position assures products are available when customers need them. It also supports the utilization of products and equipment through standardization, contract utilization, value analysis and cost efficient suppliers.

    **Minimum Experience Required:**

    4 years procurement experience with computer system utilization in a hospital setting.

    **Minimum Education/Training Required:**

    High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree preferred. CM RP certification preferred .
