SUPPLY CHAIN
Rocket Lab's Supply Chain team is responsible for the flow of all materials, products, and components through the business.

With many of our own products functioning as critical components to our own and our customers' missions, the Supply Chain team has a direct impact on the success of our rocket and satellite programs.

They set up the assembly kits that enables our technicians to put together our Electron rockets, manage inventory, look after shipping and receiving, manage direct and indirect procurement, and inspect and ensure that all of our materials and products are compliant and up to standard.

They are the chain that links our teams together, and are critical to our success.


SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYST
Supply Chain Analysts are key resources in leading the development and execution of important initiatives across the Purchasing function. They are expected to identify and pursue opportunities for continuous improvement while supporting a best-in-class Supply Chain team. They will drive the development of diagnostics and transformations while delivering the highest quality results.

At Rocket Lab, a successful Supply Chain Analyst must also posses strong analytical capabilities and a passion for problem-solving and critical thinking.


WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:


  • Responsible for conducting indepth analyses using SQL, R, Power BI, Excel, and other programs to assess risk, gather intelligence, and formulate actionable plans.
  • Lead the design and implementation of key initiatives across Supply Chain.
  • Accountable for writing reports and performing analysis while tracking KPIs, category spend, and supplier data.
  • Proactively collaborate across multiple functions while assessing and developing opportunities for efficiencies and automation.
  • Contribute recommendations for the development and maintenance of appropriate procedures and documentation.
  • Identify and propose cost reduction opportunities across various products and services.
  • Provide training on any new tools, reports, etc., introduced to the broader team.
  • Other duties asked by your manager, relevant to your role.

YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, supply chain, engineering, or computer science.
  • 2+ years' experience within a supply chain environment.
  • Experience with at least one of the following: SQL, R, and Power BI.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, Access).
  • Experience writing reports.
  • Exposure to ERP systems.

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:

  • Proficient in MRP systems.
  • Prior experience in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with conducting wideranging research.
  • Clear, concise, and confident interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamoriented with a strong ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Proven ability to clearly communicate, manage multiple work tasks, and provide regular status updates.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently.

ADDITIONAL REQUIRMENTS

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
  • Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Must be physically able to commute to buildings
  • Occasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noise.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance.
