- Provide Level 2/3 application production support for in scope of Equity related applications
- Global support and includes weekend availability to troubleshoot production related issues and perform checkouts
- Ability to work both independently and in groups in an energetic, diverse environment
- Problem research and resolution. Responsible for tracking bugs and stability issues that affect the production environment and drive changes to mitigate
- Debugging the system and fixing the production related issues
- Handles complex operational tasks and recommends process and technology changes
- Expedient deployment of new systems. Capacity planning, Problem management
- Escalate / follow-up on permanent fix for development related issues
- Manage communication of system and application outages to the end users whenever required
- Resolve complex application and technical problems and Provide solutions for application automation
- Build, test and install software in Dev, QA, Prod/DR environment
- Proactive with respect to personal and technical development
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
- Expertise in operating windows and Linux environment with good command over any scripting language such as Shell, Perl, Python, etc.
- Application/Production Support Experience at a Wall Street firm
- Strong knowledge of FIX protocol
- Strong Knowledge of order flow into and out of equity systems Knowledge of Structure Products, SWAP, and Derivative business
- Strong Knowledge of Kafka, Hazelcast and snowflake services
- Understanding of client and exchange connectivity support
- Understanding of Equities products and program trading businesses from a technology standpoint
- Knowledge of Devops tools such Bamboo or Jenkins
- Hands-on experience in support of a real-time trading environment
- Knowledge of support applications that use high-performance messaging/middleware
- Strong analytical, and verbal and written communication skills
- Java, C#, C++ ,.net development skills set, nice plus
- Good communication skills, including the ability to write clearly
- Able to function effectively as a member of a team
- Proactive with respect to personal and technical development
