    Location: Canton, MA, Jersey City, NJ or Edison, NJ (Hybrid)

    This is a hybrid position primarily based in Canton, MA, Jersey City, NJ or Edison, NJ.     A role you will love

    As the Support & Release Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing user and technical problems across a wide range of both internal and external facing applications. You will also execute regular deployments for the same suite of applications. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining the appropriate Windows, Linux Servers, OpenShift Environments, SSL and Netscaler (Citrix ADC) Configuration as well as the delivery of internal projects. This role requires good self-learning skills and adaptability to new situations.

    You will manage Computershare's build and deployment platforms and utilize them to drive towards continuous delivery. Your team is also expected to contribute to Computershare's technology stack by enhancing existing processes, including a substantial initiative towards automation. You'll constantly look to standardize key processes and make good use of scripting languages such as Korn Shell and PowerShell.

    Your team is reliant on close collaboration with both operational and development teams. Acting as consultants, you'll be expected to assist other technology teams to configure environments and ensure the delivery of robust applications and services.

    Other key responsibilities include:
    • Provide support and incident resolution to the Business escalated via the 'ServiceNow' system
    • Deliver exceptional service and resolve incident and requests within SLA or agreed timescales
    • Work closely with Infrastructure, Network and delivery teams to provide stable, highly efficient virtual and cloud platforms.
    • Participate in on call rotation along with weekend events (such as Disaster Recovery tests and Production Event Weekends).
    • Manage Windows & Linux Server-based and OpenShift hosted environments, including:
      • New Environment Builds
      • Deployment
      • Patching
      • NetScaler Configuration
      • Monitoring, etc.
    • Deploying and Maintaining Computershare's Software (built on the Java and .NET stacks, leveraging Oracle and SQL Server Databases).
    • Liaising with DevOps and Development Teams to ensure consistent delivery of software services
    • Automation and Process Improvement scripting using PowerShell
    What will you bring to the role?

    You are someone who can work with both those who are technical and those with limited understanding of technical concepts. You have a strong sense of accountability, and are results-oriented, with the ability to set priorities independently, provide follow-through, and meet objectives. You work well within a team and individually while acting as a technical resource for others and following technology practices and standards. You have strong analytic and problem-solving skills enabling you to resolve issues quickly and make decisions that meet customer objectives.

    You'll also bring:
    • 2+ years' experience supporting day-to-day platforms and products
    • Appropriate knowledge and appreciation of the IT infrastructure (hardware, databases, operating systems, local area networks, etc.)
    • Experience in Java and .Net Application Server management (IIS, Windows Services, Scheduled Tasks etc.) and Linux environments
    • Experience and knowledge with one or more technologies including RedHat OpenShift
    • Exposure to or willingness to learn process automation, namely PowerShell automation and scripting
    • Strong ability to enforce security standards, both in the environments and when collaborating with teams

    Compensation. The typical base pay range for this role is $76,000-$107,000 This base pay range is specific to Jersey City, NJ and may not be applicable to other locations. This range reflects our good faith effort to pay fairly based on our job evaluation of this role and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's relevant knowledge, skills, experience, and other job-related factors.
