Design Release Engineer - Airbag Systems

Join our innovative engineering team dedicated to crafting cutting-edge automotive solutions prioritizing safety and performance. We're on the lookout for a skilled Design Engineer specializing in airbag systems to contribute to our dynamic projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Design and Develop:
Lead the conceptualization and execution of airbag system designs for upcoming vehicle models, covering diverse aspects like driver, passenger, side, and curtain airbags.
2. Project Management:
Manage projects from inception through production, ensuring adherence to safety standards, performance metrics, and budgetary constraints.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with multifaceted teams, including safety specialists, suppliers, manufacturing experts, and quality assurance professionals, to seamlessly integrate airbag systems into vehicle designs.
4. Testing and Validation:
Supervise comprehensive testing and validation procedures to guarantee compliance with regulatory mandates and internal quality benchmarks.
5. Supplier Management:
Forge robust relationships with suppliers, overseeing the procurement of high-quality components within specified timelines.
6. Documentation and Progress Tracking:
Maintain meticulous records documenting design iterations, testing protocols, and project milestones to facilitate transparency and accountability.
7. Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for refinement across design, material selection, and manufacturing processes, driving improvements in performance and cost-efficiency.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Advanced degrees are desirable.
- Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience of 3-5 years in the design realm of automotive safety systems, particularly in airbag technology.
