Description

Office and Lab Support Technician

Required Experience

2-5 years of experience in a technical lab and office administration environment
Experience purchasing, receiving, stocking, and shipping electronic equipment
Ability to balance busy development lab and office administration tasks
Support Executive staff and Engineering team meetings and customer visits
Ability to utilize laptops and computer technology for communication
Ability to work independently in the office to prepare for anticipated field work
Technical and mechanical knowledge and abilities is preferred
Ability to work independently and anticipate staff needs
Ability to work collaboratively or independently as required by a given situation
Familiarity with high tech systems and industrial field equipment

Preferred Experience

Microsoft Dynamics ERP system
Railroad or transportation industry knowledge
Experience with computer networking systems
Ability to monitor mobile communication systems
Experience with coax and cabling
Comfortable working LAN/WAN and networking equipment

Job Responsibilities

Support office staff and manage office, inventory and hardware logistics
Utility office technician to work on computer and networking systems
Comfortable working LAN, including routers, switches, and other networking devices
Troubleshoot and repair control systems, power supplies, radio/cellular equipment
Maintain and submit accurate paperwork and documentation
Packing, shipping and maintaining lab equipment and office systems
