Develops and implements accounting practices and procedures. Provides and interprets data from accounting records as required from management. Coordinates accounting services and integrates with operating needs.

Oversees the management of functions such as property records, general ledger, and general accounting services (i.e., payroll and accounts payable).

Manages a team of accountants.

Education/Experience

Undergraduate degree from a four-year college or university/Bachelor of Science in Accounting preferred
3 to 5 years' experience in accounting field
Previous supervisory experience desired
Essential Functions, Knowledge and Competencies

Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Good Interpersonal skills
Strong accounting background in financial and standard cost
Extensive computer background and experience
Responsibility/Authority

Month end closing and journal entries to ensure on-time reporting of Flash report and 10 day report
Accuracy of Accounts Payable –overseeing clerks work
Maintenance & Reconciliation of Perpetual inventory accurately
Monthly trending reports
Cost analysis reporting
Accuracy of monthly & quarterly & annual reporting & trending to internal & external customers
Maintenance of the financial integrity of ERP system which includes working on testing of upgrades, assisting other departments on training & working with all areas with questions and correction of errors
Accuracy of the month end reports, journal entries & accuracy of reconciliations
Reviewing & Accuracy of reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
Maintaining weekly Goals/Objective spreadsheets
Maintaining Departments training records are up to date
Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsible for supervision & training of Receptionist/Accounting Clerk positions, Accounts Payable, Accounting Intern, & Accountant I positions #LI-DNI"
