    **Job Summary/Basic Function:** This position has administrative responsibility for coordination of complex academic program elements requiring collaboration with students, faculty, and other departments and programs.

    **Department Overview:** This is a 12 month position to support the Undergraduate Prelicensure program and reports to the Sr. Business Operations Manager.

    **Level Scope:** Fully competent and productive professional contributor who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support employees.

    **Essential Functions:** **60% of Time the Clinical Support Specialist must:**

    Provides administrative support

    Facilitates the delivery of required program services.

    Maintain students files/records.

    Analyzes data, generates and/or assists with, and disseminates periodic reports (monthly and semester).

    May provide support to student groups.

    May oversee the work of less experienced employees or students.

    May independently manage specific program activities.

    Planning and executing assigned projects and operations within the specified department

    **35% of Clinical Support Specialist must:**

    Demonstrated excellent in organizational, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

    Responsible for the daily operations of assigned program elements

    Ensure program needs are met, resources are identified and recommendations are implemented for improvements or enhancements.

    Implement new or revised program goals, processes or activities to achieve effective performance.

    Recommends necessary changes for improved services and implements, as appropriate.

    Communicates the development of program activities and implements marketing strategies to promote the success of each program initiative.

    Prepares reports and maintains records on program activities and progress.

    Interacts with students, faculty, staff and the community to facilitate program objectives.

    Performs many complex office tasks

    Provides program information and program guidance (including rules and requirements) to current and prospective students.

    Provides substantial support to the admissions committee and applicants in the admissions process.

    Responsible for Clinical placement management.

    Work directly with Clinical Coordinator to assist with clinical placements and logistics through My Clinical Exchange or other placement platform

    Collaborate with community partner representatives to ensure faculty and students have all necessary trainings, accesses, badges necessary to complete clinical rotations

    Work with Nursing Academic Advisor (s) to ensure timely and proactive communication to students regarding clinical/preceptor placements

    Suggest process changes that can improve clinical placement efficiency or capacity, and share those recommendations with the Manager for consideration.

    Oversee and assist with clinical compliance for clinical programs within school of nursing

    Represent SON in a professional manner in communications with all parties.

    Use effective public relations and liaison skills to represent the SON programs through assisting callers, visitors, faculty, staff and students. Utilize knowledge of SON policies and objectives, complex clinical processes and various state academic requirements while exhibiting discretion to appropriately triage issues on to supervisors when required.

    Independently compose correspondence such as letters and memos, reports and other documents that may include sensitive and confidential information for supervisors or own signature.

    Manage multiple projects and processes simultaneously, working at a fast pace with minimal supervision.

    Able to effectively prioritize and work on multiple tasks with concurrent deadlines and demonstrate excellent time management skills and efficiency simultaneously giving strong attention to detail.

    **5% of time other duties as assigned.**

    **Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:**

    Ability to work independently and use reference manuals to develop proficiency with software or computer systems.

    Good organizational, written and verbal communication skills in the preparation and presentation of results.

    Good interpersonal skills

    Able to effectively prioritize and work on multiple tasks with concurrent deadlines and demonstrate excellent time management skills and efficiency.

    **Minimum** **Qualifications:** Bachelors Degree and 2 years of professional experience or equivalent relevant experience.

    **Salary and Benefit****s:** Staring salary is between $42,910.40 to $47,590.40 commensurate with experience.
