TemporaryDepartment: CMGE FinanceDescription:The Business Intelligence team within Steward Medical Group's Finance department has an opportunity for a full-time temporary intern.
Under the direction of the BI Director and day-to-day direction of the Business Intelligence Lead, the Business Intelligence Intern is responsible for 1) updating recurring, manual business intelligence tasks and process improvement analysis and documentation of BI tasks, 2) maintaining data mappings and dictionaries, and 3) ad hoc reporting requests.Through these responsibilities, the intern will develop an understanding of healthcare revenue-cycle business intelligence datasets and products, have exposure to Tableau Desktop and Flow development, as well as SQL development skills from a business intelligence perspective.
The ideal candidate will be extremely well-organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, under tight deadlines.Responsibilities:
Updating recurring, manual business intelligence tasksPerform process improvement analysis of the BI teams recurring, manual tasksMaintain BI team's data mappings and dictionariesService ad hoc reporting requestsAble to meet deadlines of multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and collaborate with team membersUse tact, sensitivity, and professionalism in communicating effectively and respectfully with the leadership team and all Steward colleaguesQualificationsEnthusiasm for data analytics and the health care industryStrong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skillsExperience with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, and PowerPointExperience with data warehouse tools a plus (especially Tableau and SQL)
