**Regional Digital Sales Manager**
The Regional Digital Sales Manager primary responsibility is to manage the digital budget of their respective region and maximize digital advertising revenue across the Interactive One local online network of properties (which includes all radio station websites owned by Radio One, Interactive One Universe including BlackPlanet, BlackPlanet Radio, , UrbanDaily, HelloBeautiful, Elev8, News One, , & GiantLife and other digital properties and platforms) with a focus on the Interactive One local platform. This position will work with local radio sellers in each respective market to actively target and aggressively pursue digital accounts and clients direct looking to activate local and regional digital campaigns. They will actively liaise with each market Director of Sales to ensure local radio reps are hitting their digital budgets. The Regional Digital Sales Manager is responsible for the overall budget of all markets within assigned region and is compensated based on hitting quarterly budget goals. Reporting to the Director of Integrated Marketing and to the RVPs in their region, candidate will be responsible for traveling to each market and working with Sales management and Integrated Marketing Managers to evangelize digital, attend sales calls, and train local AEs. Ideal candidates will have an understanding of digital and mobile advertising with a clear understanding of local digital advertisers and clients. Have a proven track record of partnering with research, product, and technology to develop and sell unique and innovative ad campaigns for advertisers and partners. Candidate should be able to demonstrate a keen understanding of the nuances of the traditional media sales process and understand how to work with broadcast sellers to sell custom integrated solutions. They will be on top of shifting media trends and how the web is impacting marketplaces and companies business models. They will demonstrate an ability to think creatively, sell strategically, and communicate effectively internally and externally.
**Responsibilities:**
Execute digital sales strategies along with Director of Integrated Marketing and each markets Director of Sales to maximize Interactive One local digital sales and help evangelize digital with the local radio sales staff, including:
+ Strategic market visits to help evangelize digital and jump start revenue growth
+ Identify new local and regional client Opportunities
+ Establish a pipeline of business for each market and maintain an accurate forecast in
+ Effectively monitor online inventory and current pricing. Submit weekly/monthly sales forecasts.
+ Regularly manage agency/client relationships.
+ Provide leadership to support resources.
+ Participate in industry events and conferences.
+ Effectively evaluate each markets online strategy and their current pricing levels
+ Coach local sales staffs on the most effective ways to use Radio One and Interactive One digital properties to develop opportunistic revenue-generating programs
+ Collaborate with Director of Integrated Marketing and Director of Ad Sales to:
Develop innovative marketing solutions by pinpointing online consumer trends necessary to create category and advertiser-specific solutions.
Analyze competitive (local) online media marketplace
+ Candidate must set and own sales/travel agenda, including prioritizing and organizing sales calls based on maximum potential return.
**Qualifications** (The ideal candidate will have):
Minimum 2-3 years of online advertising sales along with 2-3 years of other media sales experience
BS / BA degree or equivalent professional experience
Management experience required
Dedicated and driven work ethic
Excellent writing skills
Comfortable making presentations to all size groups
Outstanding computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Adobe Photoshop.
**Selection Criteria:**
Demonstrated ability to perform all related job responsibilities.
Either currently living in designated regional headquarters market or willing to relocate there.
Demonstrated ability to evangelize digital media advertising, marketing and sales.
Ability to educate traditional media sellers regarding digital sales and integrated marketing.
Superior digital marketing ideation skills.
Ability to help shape and articulate the Interactive One Local vision and strategy.
Ability to effectively conceive of and contribute to multi-market digital sales deals.
Ability to cultivate and manage agency and client relationships.
Ability to manage others remotely to carry out the Interactive One Local vision and strategy.
Knowledge of Interactive One and Interactive One Local properties, platforms and advertising capabilities.
Ability to earn and retain the respect of Radio One corporate-level executives, and market-level General Managers, Directors of Sales and sellers within his/her region.
