    Description

    • Drive Munich Re ́s data strategy by defining product vision and roadmap for data products primarily in North America
    • Work closely together with business, central, and innovation teams in Reinsurance, US Specialty Lines and Life & Health to understand data requirements
    • Work in cross functional data product teams as a data product manager to create relevant, value adding and reusable data assets
    • Define service level agreements for your data product such as fill rates, duplicate ratios, update frequency, etc.
    • Engage with data vendors to source missing data and work closely with data engineering and IT to make data accessible for consumption
    • Facilitate synergies/cost sharing between business units by connecting similar use cases to leverage learnings
    • Actively market your data product to relevant stakeholders in North America and internationally
    • Keep track of usage and adoption of your data product

    YOUR PROFILE

    • Excellent understanding of the US (re-)insurance market with relevant experience for 5+ years scientist in an insurance domain for 3+ years
    • Proven project management capabilities in an agile setup for 5+ years
    • Strong proficiency in technical data handling, e.g. writing SQL or Python scripts to manipulate data for 5+ years
    • Entrepreneurial and customer-centric mindset and ability to develop strategic targets and conceptually transform requirements into solutions
    • Integrative personality, strong in building and maintaining relationships (internally and externally)
    • Drive and dedication, as well as creativity and hands-on attitude to initiate and execute use cases ("getting things done")
    • Excellent ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical communities to ensure data uses and limitations are well understood and will provide substantive business value
    The salary range posted below applies to the Company's NYC location.

    The base salary range anticipated for this position is $150,300 - $220,400 plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay.

    In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).

    The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in NYC.

    Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role.

    Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
