Bloomberg is a leading provider of financial benchmarks and custom index services. Bloomberg indices are used as the basis of investment products and for bench-marking portfolio performance. The Bloomberg terminal and Bloomberg media enable the global investment community to interact with Bloomberg indices.What's the Role?
You'll be joining a fast-growing and highly motivated index product team that sits within our Enterprise Data division.
You will be focusing on the construction and commercialization of equity indices, methodology management, product positioning, and helping drive the commercial success of the business.
You will work closely with Sales, Research, Production, Marketing, PR teams, and participate in client meetings globally. You'll help develop new Bloomberg terminal analytics that will transform the index industry. You'll have deep knowledge of index construction and methodology, product management, the index industry, and the asset management industry.You'll be expected to influence product vision and then execute on that vision.
You'll be comfortable in working with large data sets and have a talent in extracting meaningful intelligence to drive innovation and product direction.
You'll also have outstanding organization and great interpersonal skills.You'll be someone with the ability to approach challenges with creativity and enthusiasm; someone who has the courage to take positions advocating change and then deliver.
This is a role with very high visibility within the organization and the investment community.We'll trust you to:
- Contribute meaningfully to the analysis, evaluation, product vision and messaging of the index product offering
- Serve as an ambassador to the product vision, keeping the equity index platform relevant and robust
- Create and drive product strategy/vision for the future of the equity index business
- Communicate product vision and build consensus among senior leadership team
- Execute efficiently and effectively on product vision, builds, and launches
- Assess client needs and translate them into indexbased solutions
- Ability to collaborate successfully across business units including Production, Operations, Engineering, Governance, etc.
You'll need to have:
- 7+ years of Product Manager or Product Development experience
- Handson equity index product experience
- Index methodology knowledge and experience in keeping methodologies updated and relevant
- Understanding of daytoday governance determinations on index events
- Demonstrated understanding of financial markets, investment management and the sales process
- Proven analytical capabilities working with large data sets
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of building enthusiastic support for new ideas
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills including the ability to create pivot tables and vlookups
We'd Love to See:
- Extensive experience interacting with external clients
- Familiarity with the Bloomberg Terminal

Salary Range: 140, ,000 USD Annually + Benefits + BonusThe referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
