Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Production Manager at Danarys New York.

As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our atelier and ensuring efficient and timely production of our garments.

You will work closely with our design team, and oversee and manage the in-house seamstresses and patternmaker, as well as external vendors and suppliers.

You will oversee and manage sales and orders, maintain clientele databases, and oversee and manage the production of all client orders and new collections.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Relevant certifications or a degree in fashion design, production management, is a must
• Luxury experience is a must
• Prior managerial experience is a must
• 35 years of pattern making experience with women's woven categories
• Ability to manage work flow and communicate effectively with colleagues
• Strong organizational and managerial skills
• Experience in garment production and manufacturing
• Knowledge of the fashion industry and production processes
• Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
• Ability to work in a fastpaced and deadlinedriven environment
• Attention to detail and quality control
• Proficiency in using Excel for production management
• Proficiency in patternmaking and technical design
• Knowledge of garment construction and têxtile design
• Ability to multitask and manage several projects at once

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a patternmaker and team of seamstresses
• Oversee and manage the atelier/workroom
• Oversee and manage sales and client orders and new collection production development
• Pack up and ship out client orders
• Lead fittings at the showroom and spec clients for their measurements
• Handle showroom and workroom responsibilities
• Translate a 2D sketch into a 3D garment for production
• Act as liaison with our Indian Factories
• Conduct proper clothing fittings and issuing necessary adjustments or corrections on each pattern
• Inspect the accuracy of sample patterns to ascertain that it follows the original sketch design
• Overseeing the grading of the patterns according to the required range of garment sizes
• Ensure the completion of cutter's musts for new collections
• Ensure the accuracy of the sample patterns
• Ensure that the sample garment is maintaining the look and style of the original design
• Check the fit and appearance of the sample on a fit model
• Make any necessary adjustments to patterns after fitting to ensure style fits 100% for production
• Modify sample garments and patterns to meet cost specifications and manufacturing limitations
