    Description

    Job Description:

    This position is responsible for all tasks related to the day to day function of both the studio and academic spaces.

    This individual will be responsible for opening and closing the building, cleaning and restocking the facility as well as addressing the needs of all clients of the facility, both commercial and educational.

    Task will include assisting technical setups of sessions, events, and live performances.

    Inventorying and distribution of equipment for studio sessions, as well as ordering food and going on runs for clients as needed.

    Also making sure that facilities are stocked with supplies and are in a clean and presentable state at all times.

    This individual needs to have an astute attention to detail, a basic understanding of audio and video equipment (advanced knowledge a plus).

    This individual also needs to be willing to work flexible hours to adapt and accommodate their schedule to the schedule of sessions and events.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Opening and closing of the facility.
    Inventory and stocking of supplies throughout facilityAssisting in technical setups and breakdowns of commercial recording sessions.

    Assisting in setups for events both educational and commercialAttending to all client needs in the facilityGoing on errands and runsTaking out trash, cleaning the studio spaces, cleaning bathrooms and common areasMoving equipment around as neededSetting up instruments and backline as well as microphones and another audio equipmentMoving and setting up video equipment and lighting.

    Keeping track of receipts as they relate to expenses for client sessionsExperience and Competencies:
    A degree in media, recording, or related field or commensurate experienceRecording studio background or experience greatly preferred.

    Knowledge of basic video systems, lighting or live sound a huge plusGreat communication skills, and the ability to interact with clients in a professional and helpful manner.

    Attention to detail in all areas of workWillingness and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    Problem solving and decision making skills while using good judgment and maintaining professionalism.
    Ability to innovate, prototype and iterate, and apply design thinking to curricular design.
    Experience with training and managing staff in a music technology-driven environmentDemonstrated commitment to diversity, fairness, and equal opportunity.

    Pay Range:
