    Primary Purpose:
    Uplift's Career Services Office supports Uplift alumni who are seeking career development opportunities (internships, PT and FT jobs, industry training programs, etc.) The Manager of Career Services will provide targeted career coaching for Uplift alumni to improve their career outcomes and "match" students to more sustainable and rewarding career paths. The Manager of Career Services will support and lead career-based programming for our growing network of alumni in conjunction as a collective post-secondary team with Uplift's Alumni Success team to holistically support an alum academically, socially, and professionally.

    Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Manage projects on behalf of Uplift's Alumni Career Services Team from concept to implementation, including project scope and tracking
    • Usage of appropriate tools and resources to promote employment opportunities in line with market trends and desired alumni career outcomes
    • Effective alumni recruitment practices such as managing social media presence (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.), marketing and other relevant strategies to increase engagement and attract/recruit talent
    • Manage the annual summer intern program from recruiting to day-to-day program and people management
    • Create a unique and personalized coaching strategy based on the alum's needs (HS grad, college student, college graduate)
    • Provide career services such as but not limited to résumé writing, cover letter writing, LinkedIn consultations, interview preparation, career exploration
    • Effectively build and maintain relationships with potential industry partners to provide sustainable career experiences (Career panels, Career trips, Internships, Workshops, etc.) for Uplift scholars and alumni
    • Work closely with the RTCC team on the campus and at CMO to coordinate and facilitate various informational career-centered workshops and training for parents, scholars, and staff
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of career programming and analyze existing alumni career outcomes through using KPIs and other appropriate metrics
    • Support RTCC initiatives through event planning and facilitation and participating in various committees
    Education, Experience, and/or Certification(s)
    • Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree (B. A./ B.S.) from four-year college or university required. Master's Degree is preferred.
    • Experience Requirements: Previous experience working in a career office highly preferred. Successful work with teens and young adults highly desirable. Previous career coaching experience highly preferred.
    • Special Skills/Certifications: People skills, adaptability, critical thinking, growth mindset, collaboration, creativity, timeliness, resourcefulness
    Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Communication Skills: Strong analytical, communication and writing skills
    • Bilingual Skills: Not required.
    • Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, G-Suite, Canva, Asana, Qualtrics
    Physical Demands:
    While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit and use the wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work at a desk and computer screen for extended periods of time.

    Work Environment:
    Some district-wide travel required. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours required.

    Starting Salary: $65,000
