    Joseph Center has been meeting the needs of low-income and homeless individuals and families in Venice and throughout Los Angeles County.

    The Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community organization that assists people without regard for religious affiliation or lack thereof through 20+ programs in four pillars of service: Outreach and Engagement, Housing Services, Mental Health, and Education and Vocational Training.

    St. Joseph Center serves more than 10,000 people each year.

    Brief Description of Principal ActivitiesMultifaceted intervention, prevention, mental health, and housing assistance is offered through street outreach and 9 service sites throughout Los Angeles County.

    St.

    Joseph Center also provides on-site services at five permanent supportive housing developments, and will provide services at an additional six more sites in the coming year.

    St. Joseph Center's total holistic approach to services provide our clients with the help they need to regain their stability.

    Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe Coordinated Entry System (CES) is the system in which individuals experiencing homelessness and organizations providing housing resources are linked in a systematic and efficient manner.

    As the lead agency for Westside Service Planning Area 5 (SPA 5), St.

    Joseph Center is entrusted to help coordinate the work of our valued partners in our mission to end homelessness in our region and beyond.

    The CES Regional Outreach Coordinator will help to facilitate inter-agency outreach to our most vulnerable on the streets in our region and link them to supportive services and housing navigation teams.

    Under the supervision of the Program Manager of CES, the CES Regional Outreach Coordinator is responsible for the following activities:
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe Regional Data Coordinator key areas of responsibility include:

    Essential Duties:

    Work closely with homeless service providers, physical and mental health agencies, Veteran service providers, law enforcement, funders and other stakeholders to better coordinate how we outreach and connect individuals experiencing homelessness in the West LA region to pathways to housingServe as the liaison in underserved areas to community, local government bodies (neighborhood councils, councils of governments, etc.), and nontraditional partners to locate "hot spots," other areas of need, share resources, opportunities for funding, coordinate work, and combat NIMBYismMaintain an up-to-date outreach team inventory for the Westside RegionTrack efforts in underserved areas and make recommendations to SPA-wide multidisciplinary teams of geographic locations to serve and link the team to partners within those areasEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with relevant partners to establish streamlined referral network linkages to mental health care, health services, other supportive services, and housing navigation teamsFacilitate CES provider case conferencing meetings for our SPA's most vulnerable on a monthly basis and share reports and updates at local monthly meetingsIdentify and implement creative outreach strategies for underserved areas of our SPAHelp educate the community and other providers about outreach best practicesProvide monthly reporting on Outreach trends, efforts and progress towards meeting goalsPromote use and access of the Homeless Management Information System throughout the SPA and work closely with the Regional Data Coordinator to track and evaluate system gaps and areas of advocacyOther duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

    QualificationsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Must be highly motivated and a self-starter.

    Must have the ability to communicate with and relate to a diverse group of people including clients, community, and other staff.

    Must have excellent administrative and organizational skills.

    Strong level of diplomacy and teamwork with a can-do attitudeThe ability to make decisions independently and in collaboration with staff across your region and external partnersA bilingual background is a plus.

    The position requires an ability to work flexible hours including some early mornings and evenings.


    Experience:
    Significant experience providing street-based homeless services, preferably on the WestsideDemonstrated knowledge and experience with Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing, Critical Time Intervention, and

    Housing First Education:
    Bachelor degree or higher from an accredited college or university in social work, social sciences, public administration, public health, or a related field

    Direct Reports:
    This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities

    Computer Skills:
    Computer literacy required. Must be proficient in Internet research, database programs and be willing to learn other applications. Experience with Homeless Management Information Systems highly desirable.
    High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and widely supported internet browsers.


    Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
    Valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions

    Full-Time/Non-Exempt Pay Range:
    $22.95 to $25.50/hrEmployment with St. Joseph Center is contingent on completion of satisfactory background check.
