    Description
    VP, Data Systems and Analytics with Credit One Bank, N.A. (Las Vegas, NV)

    Job Description:
    Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Responsible for technology modernization and capability re-engineering with an eye on future. Builds strong relationships in IT, with a focus on collaboration and direct communication. Aids the department in meeting the company's strategic goals.

    Expands the company's use of cloud as a strategic enabler of goals and objectives to achieve operational efficiencies that would otherwise be unattainable.

    Support IT leadership functions including annual planning, budgeting, status reporting, presentations, and continuous improvement. Demonstrate company core values of excellence, ownership, collaboration, and integrity. Transform legacy data structures and processes to modern, capable, and secure solutions in a hybrid cloud setup. Develop tooling for increasing scale, accuracy, and automation in data pipelines, to integrate with decisioning, AI/NLP and consuming systems. Ensure data security by designing controls and protection strategies. Enable application performance and modernization by creating appropriate data capabilities to match. Collaborate and communicate with key stakeholders to advance business capabilities. Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry.

    Position supervises nine (9) subordinates, including: three (3) Software Engineers III – P2; two (2) Software Engineers II – P2; two (2) Software Engineers I – P1; and two (2) IT Leadership Associates I – P1.


    Job Requirements:
    Requires a Master's in Applied Computer Science or related field.

    Experience is required (5 years with a Master's) which must include some experience in each of the following skills: reporting tools including Birst and JReports; implementing and maintaining data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce 2, Hive, HBase, Storm, Kafka, Oozie, and Hortonworks platforms; developing and implement tools in Apache Atlas & Ranger for Data governance; developing programs using MVC and ORM Frameworks in Struts, Spring, Spring MVC, and Hibernate; developing and maintaining ingestion frameworks using NiFi and complex event processing; and developing and deploying tokenization solutions and scripts using Protegrity and Vault.
