    Description

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Leading a team of technical design professionals, including telecommunications engineers, designers, drafters, and project managers, to ensure accurate and high-quality design documents for telecom, transmission line, and substation projects. Emphasizing industry best practices and company standards, this role focuses on meeting cost and schedule commitments while optimizing engineering resources.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Guiding and motivating a technical design staff to produce engineering drawings and construction packages for various projects.
    • Developing and maintaining standardized telecommunication systems and practices.
    • Providing responsive engineering support for system issues.
    • Managing departmental and capital budgets effectively.
    • Overseeing personnel activities and performance goals.
    • Providing cost estimates for planning purposes.
    • Fostering a team environment and ensuring compliance with regulations.

    Requirements

    Specialized Knowledge and Skills

    • 0-20 years of experience in the field.
    • Proficiency in Electric Utility Telecommunications engineering.
    • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Familiarity with various software applications.
    • Comfortable in a general office environment with occasional travel.
