E&I has an exciting opportunity for a
Sales Auditor.

This position will be primarily responsible for examining and analyzing sales data to verify its compliance with contractual agreements, identifying discrepancies, errors, trends, and mitigate risks associated with revenue leakage.

This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of member purchases and related contract administration fees (revenue) reported to E&I by its business partners.

The accuracy of this data is crucial to ensure E&I is receiving all earned revenue and is properly recording its members' activities for rebate and patronage payment calculations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Actively participate in our Deliberately Developmental Organizational (DDO) Culture, with the willingness to be openminded, identify, and make improvement on your growth edges. Support your colleagues' development by providing feedback, utilize development tools and practices as a team sport to further the growth, development and ultimately enhance innovation in our organization.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain audit procedures and documentation to ensure consistency and efficiency of the audit procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits of business partner purchase reporting through various methods including:
  • Collaboration with E&I members to compare and reconcile reported purchase totals on E&I contracts for a specific period to their records for the same period.
  • Working with E&I field team to investigate discrepancies in E&I's reported purchases for a specific business partner or member.
  • Collaboration with business partner to verify purchase data as part of contractual right to audit purchases under a specific agreement.
  • Verify the accuracy of reported sales data by reconciling it with supporting documentation and financial records.
  • Review member allocation of monthly purchases for accuracy and collaborate with revenue accounting team to identify and correct errors and omissions.
  • Identify and investigate any discrepancies, errors, or irregularities between member purchases and contract administration fees ("CAF") reported by business partners and the internal sales reports generated from those records.
  • Assess risks associated with sales transactions and develop strategies to mitigate potential revenue leakage or financial losses.
  • Prepare and present audit reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to be taken, as well as a report showing amount of revenue recovered, if any.
  • Assist in analyzing sales data to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas of concern.
  • Monitor and evaluate internal controls related to member purchases and CAF reporting processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay updated with industry regulations, accounting standards, and best practices in sales auditing.
  • National travel to company events (5%)
  • This position will be required to come to the corporate office in Jericho, NY on a regular basis.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

years' experience in sales auditing, revenue assurance or financial analysis.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of auditing principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with revenue recognition processes, financial statements, and internal control systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various internal and external stakeholders.
