:Position Overview:
As the Director of Retail Sales, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the retail sales strategy and operations of the company.
Your primary goal will be to maximize revenue and profitability through effective leadership and collaboration with various stakeholders.You will lead a team of regional sales managers, area managers and store managers to achieve sales targets, implement sales initiatives, and foster strong relationships internally and with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development:
Develop and implement a comprehensive retail sales strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives. Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
Sales Team Management:
Lead and inspire a team of regional sales managers, area managers and store managers. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to maximize their potential and ensure the achievement of individual and team sales targets.
Sales Performance Monitoring:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team and monitor their performance regularly. Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions to optimize sales performance.
Sales Forecasting and Budgeting:
Collaborate with finance and other relevant departments to develop accurate sales forecasts and budgets. Monitor sales performance against targets and adjust strategies as needed to meet financial objectives.
Marketing Collaboration:
Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales and marketing efforts. Provide input on product positioning, promotions, and advertising strategies to drive customer engagement and brand awareness.
Sales Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare regular sales reports and presentations for the executive team, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions. Use data analytics to track trends and make data-driven decisions.
Customer Satisfaction:
Ensure exceptional customer service by resolving escalated issues and addressing customer concerns promptly. Foster a customer-centric culture within the sales team to build long-lasting customer relationship.
Requirements:
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent sales and customer service skills
Thorough understanding of company's products and/or services
Competent with MS Office Suite and Salesforce
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to make informed decisions.
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Knowledge of retail industry trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) or equivalent experience.
5+ years proven experience in a senior retail multi unit sales management role, preferably in a similar industry.
Proficient at analyzing data, building reporting and making strategic recommendations based on data and trends
Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of motivating and developing high-performing teams.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to occasionally travel
