    We have an exciting opportunity for an Audience Development Specialist

    This role is perfect for a junior-level marketer who possesses a keen eye for detail and is eager to make their mark in the corporate landscape.

    Questex is currently seeking an Audience Development Specialist to help us in growing and engaging our highly valued audience. They will understand digital marketing principles and tactics as it relates to list segmentation and targeting, database marketing, email marketing, landing page optimization, PPC, SEO, and analytics. The ideal candidate will be creative, well-organized, have a well-rounded background and thrive in a data and result driven environment.

    This position can be remote or located in our Washington D.C. office.

    Questex Performance Marketing Team

    The Performance Marketing staff are responsible for identifying the buyers our customers want to reach. We make sure we have their most recent information, that they are actively interested in engaging with us and that they are being reached the way they want to be reached. Our goal is to connect sellers with the buyers that want to meet them for a win-win.

    While we can't get you in front of all the people in our 4 million strong database we can get you in their heads. We take a 360 degree view, what our attendees and audience tell us both by behavior and demographics, layering on their activity and engagement and using that to determine where they are in the buyers journey.

    As our Audience Development Specialist, you'll support Questex's success by:
    • Collaborate with editorial, sales and marketing teams within your assigned vertical by providing regular audience insights and co-developing strategies to increase engagement, retention, and value.
    • Find opportunities to engage and re-engage the audience on an ongoing basis. Create marketing emails, landing pages, and campaigns using Marketo for audience development and marketing initiatives. Optimize and test landing pages to drive conversions. Create triggered and automated campaigns based on website visits and email activity.
    • Work with your assigned publisher to define valuable audience segments. Analyze the audience to help the publishers understand their audience and engagement levels. Create audience personas.
    • Execute and manage PPC advertising on search and social platforms such as Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter, as needed.
    • Assist with the strategy behind new publication and new newsletter launches, including audience acquisition plans, email list setup, PPC, etc.
    Your Experience and Education include:
    • Bachelor's degree management, marketing, journalism, or related field
    • 2+ years Marketing experience, ideally in a digital marketing role.
    • Proficiency with MS Office and HTML and 2+ years experience with email delivery.
    • Experience in executing audience-driving marketing campaigns, and working with Marketing Automation Platforms, to create attention-grabbing campaigns to engage an audience.
    • Proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving.
    • Good project management experience and ability to work well under tight deadlines.
    • Well versed in working with a diverse functional team (creative, sales, technical, etc).

    The expected base salary for this position ranges from $58K-$61K.Salary offers are based on a broad scope of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market, geographic and organizational factors and are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, and revenue incentive bonus, we offer the following:
