    Description
    This position will plan, lead, and supervise Family First's donor engagement, community and corporate relations, and development efforts.

    Reporting to the chief operating officer, the director of development plans, develops, leads, and supervises the development department, which includes donor engagement, community and corporate relations, grant writing, newsletters, direct mail appeals, web-based giving, planned giving, and major gifts.

    The role is also responsible for ongoing donor solicitation and recognition programs and selecting, training, and supervising all staff direct reports.

    Responsibilities
    Oversees all aspects of growing and leading the Family First development team
    Responsible for the creation and complete execution of a strategic plan to retain and increase giving from existing donors and foundations, secure new donors and foundations, and substantially grow the number of base, mid-level, and major donors
    Ensures execution of all lead and lag goals in the strategic plan by development team and that established donor workflows are followed
    Ensures that lapsed donor and past-due donor communications are made in accordance with established development procedures
    Oversees all financial appeals to donors and prospective donors
    Holds in-person meetings, Microsoft Teams meetings, and calls with donors and donor prospects
    Ensures all pertinent notes from donor meetings, Microsoft Teams meetings, emails, and calls are entered into the Family First CRM
    Establishes a planned giving initiative for Family First
    Oversees and manages the creation of donor and foundation grant proposals
    Oversees the planning and execution of donor events
    Oversees the corporate sales team and secures corporate business sponsorships
    Oversees and is intricately involved with government and lobbyists for favorable Family First state contracts and legislation
    Other duties as assigned by the COO
    Requirements
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
    5 years of experience in a comprehensive development program with progressively responsible experience and demonstrated success in major gifts fundraising
    Recent successful supervisory and leadership experience
    Significant prior experience planning, developing, implementing fundraising strategies and determining their effectiveness in achieving short- and long-term goals
    Considerable experience with a donor/contact management system (CRM)—HubSpot/Salesforce experience preferred
    Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
    Experience or ability to work with boards, councils, and committees with successful outcomes
    Strong desire to work for the mission and cause of Family First and its programs, All Pro Dad and iMOM
