    Venatore is seeking a qualified candidate to join our business development team as the Director of Business Development and Marketing.

    Position Description:

    Marketing and Business Development

    • Determine the demand for products and services offered by Venatore and its competitors, and identify potential customers, i.e. develop competitor and market analysis.
    • Create and maintain a Venatore business development pipeline of potential bid opportunities. Brief President on pipeline activity to obtain bid/no-bid decisions.
    • Maintain a Venatore CRM database of potential clients and existing prospects.
    • Develops written marketing plans and strategies consistent with Venatore business objectives.
    • Develops sales presentation materials in the form of briefings, capability statements, and white papers.
    • Develops written responses to Requests For Information (RFI) and Sources Sought Notices (SSN) from prospective clients.
    • Helps develop Venatore branded marketing material, such as capabilities fact sheets, information fliers, brochures, and trade show materials.
    • Develops teaming relationships within industry to identify and solidify teaming partnerships for Venatore.
    • Represents Venatore at networking events, trade shows and conferences to increase exposure and visibility to Venatore capabilities.
    • Executes proactive outreach to key contacts in targeted markets to generate awareness and interest in Venatore's service offerings.
    • Generates qualified leads and conducts telephone and face-to-face appointments with prospective clients.
    • Briefs prospective clients on Venatore capabilities and value-added offerings with the goal of obtaining new contracts and increased market share.
    • Identifies business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate to existing Venatore projects.
    • Effectively conveys our message in both written and verbal business development discussions.
    • Maintain and promote Venatore's organizational culture, values, and reputation in its markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners, and regulatory/official bodies.

    Bid & Proposal Development

    • Develop pricing strategies with the goal of maximizing the firm's profits or share of the market while ensuring the firm's customers are satisfied.
    • Coordinates public relations campaigns.
    • Develops proposal budgets and resource recommendations.
    • Leads proposal efforts including completing project scoping and Level of Effort (LOE) assessments.
    • Develops and reviews written proposals and cost estimates in response to Requests For Proposals (RFPs).
    • Participates in proposal development activities with Venatore teaming partners.

    Strategic Planning

    • Contribute to the development and refinement of Company's vision and strategy.
    • Participate with other corporate executives on the implementation of the company's strategic and operational plans.
    • Support the overall process of management and corporate decision-making.
    • Develop, review, and report on Venatore's business development strategy, ensuring the strategic objectives are well understood and executed.
    • Impact the profitability of the company through ensuring strategic and tactical management decisions and new business development results.
    • Develop and present a budget for President approval and prudently manage resources within those budgetary guidelines according to company policy and within ethical corporate governance guidelines.

    Required Experience:

    • 15+ years of Federal Government business development experience, preferably in the Information Technology Professional Services sector
    • Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field. (Masters preferred.)
    • Proven history of developing qualified leads and meeting revenue goals for selling IT services.
    • Comfortable conversing with executive business decision makers
    • Successful at distilling technical features into compelling business benefits
    • Thorough understanding and mastery of bid and proposal activities for Management, Technical, Cost and Subcontracting volumes.
    • Proven history of leading organization in new business development pursuits and positive revenue growth
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
    • Independent, self-motivated and success driven, yet able and willing to take direction.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    Desired Experience

    • Military experience preferred.
    • Previous experience with a CRM tool, experience with Zoho CRM a plus

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
