About the Position:
We are seeking a Development Director to develop and implement the strategic direction to increase financial support and foster community awareness and support of our programs and services in the Tampa area.
This position is responsible for the execution of fundraising activities to meet fiscal year budgeted goals through collaboration of staff, volunteers, corporate participation and local advisory board involvement.

A Snapshot of What You Will Be Doing:
Plan, develop, and implement fundraising plan to secure corporate, individual and foundation gifts in support of fundraising goals
Develop and manage a fundraising infrastructure that supports various giving strategies, stewardship, and donor data management activities
Plan and execute annual signature event
Identify, cultivate, recruit, and develop candidates for the local advisory board
Participate in community networking events
Travel to meet with and personally solicit donors
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; and/or five years of development/sales experience; or equivalent combination of education
Fundraising goal achievement and relevant experience
Dynamic leadership and supervisory skills and experience
CFRE desirable
Non-profit experience preferred
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle, as required, to drive to meetings and for other business-related needs (minimum age of 21 and good driving history)
An energetic, creative and professional individual who will portray and promote a positive, respectful, and team-based environment
Experience in event planning (logistics)
Experience soliciting businesses and individuals for sponsorship opportunities and donated auction items
Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills; professional phone skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Significant attention to detail, superior organizational and writing skills and the ability to work quickly and efficiently
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Adobe, Canva, and donor database software (Donor Perfect preferred)
Detail-oriented self-starter who can efficiently handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, as well as the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
