    General Summary:


    The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for leading the Accounts Payable department and maintaining processes for all lines of business. This position will ensure payments are made timely and accurately while maintaining professionalism. This position will provide day to day leadership, management and creative vision to enable organizational success.



    Key Responsibilities:


    Prepare and Manage Financial Documents
    Responsible for preparing documents dealing with finances, reporting and budgets.
    Knowledge of various accounting software programs to automate the daily processes and save time.
    Oversee and manage purchase order processes, benefits invoices, and sales taxes for all entities.
    Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
    • Assist, when necessary, in the input of general ledger entries, accounts payable invoice entry and check processing.
    Examination and Analysis of Data
    Must possess a keen eye for detail and accuracy, with knowledge to examine financial records, processes, and other related data competently, accurately, and patiently.
    Audit with frequency Coding validation process.
    Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial information to management and government agencies as needed.
    Team Management
    Managing a team is vital to the overall function of the Accounts Payable department.
    The ability to provide relevant training and ongoing support is paramount.
    Ongoing coaching and development to motivate team members is essential.
    Building and maintaining relationships with employees, clients, vendors, and lenders as appropriate.
    Oversee routine department activities, such as disbursing checks to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

    The AP manager needs to be a skilled negotiator at times, as invoices on occasion will have errors that need correction in collaboration with the vendor.
    Ability to negotiate different terms of payment when applicable.
    Managing the Sales and Use tax process.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting or Business Administration. three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Demonstrated proficiency to interact with others in a tactful and effective manner.
    Demonstrated organizational skills and use of critical thinking skills.
    Ability to prioritize tasks and work with interruptions.
    Ability to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions.
    Interpersonal and customer service skills to deal positively with colleagues, employees, and vendors including governmental agency employees.
    Proven oral and written communication skills.
    Ability to compose email with a professional tone.
    Proficient with MS Office including strong excel and data analytics and able to learn new software rapidly.

    Physical Requirements:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; talk or hear. The employee is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
