Job DescriptionBenefits:General Summary:
The Accounting Administrator-Clerk, main responsibilities are to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions related to accounts payable. This includes reviewing and verifying invoices, reconciling statements, and maintaining vendor records. You will also be responsible for preparing and processing payments, resolving any discrepancies or issues, and assisting with month-end closing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting
Daily journal entry input, scan and file when complete.
Prepare and process Accounts Payable invoices for payment, including data entry and check cutting.
Assist Controller and Property Manager with reconciliations.
Proficient in all daily accounting functions.
Checks and approves all vouchers for payment to contractors.
Audits invoices to ensure accuracy for payment to contractors.
Answers all vendor inquiries.
Analyzes vendor accounts.
Prepares accounts payable checks.
Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
Assists with monthly closings.
Clerical
Ensure vendors are set up in nexus with W9 and all correct information.
Prepare accounts payable documents for scanning.
Occasional errands for banking and post office requirements.
Scan yearly 1099s to OpenText.
Act as back-up for other personnel in the department, when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated organizational skills and use of critical thinking skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work with interruptions.
Ability to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions.
Interpersonal and customer service skills to deal positively with colleagues, employees, and vendors including governmental agency employees.
Proven oral and written communication skills.
Ability to compose email with a professional tone.
Proficient with MS Office including strong excel and data analytics and able to learn new software rapidly.
Anequivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; talk or hear. The employee is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
