    Description
    BROAD ROLE:

    The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a crucial role in handling financial transactions for the organization. Responsibilities include bookkeeping, financial reporting, and preparing tax records for audits.

    KEY DUTIES:
    • Tracking, processing, and coding transactions
    • Paying invoices and expense reports
    • Reconciling vendor payments and resolving inquiries promptly
    • Maintaining accurate records for accounts payable
    • Following approval procedures for invoices
    • Assisting with setting up new vendor accounts
    • Managing vendor inquiries on payment status and resolving discrepancies
    • Preparing checks for mailing
    • Entering and processing vendor invoices and check requests
    • Reviewing vendor statements and resolving account discrepancies
    • Handling multiple tasks with precision
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Performing other assigned duties as needed
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree in accounting preferred.
    • Effective communication and organization skills
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience preferred
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
