Expectation
We are seeking a highly skilled, organized Logistics Coordinator to join our growing company. Logistic Coordinator ensures the efficient flow of all import and export goods, including but not limited to; managing adherence to packaging requirements, negotiating
transport/logistics
costs and coordination with Procurement team. Will report directly to Director of Procurement to support EPF Projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support day- to- day international and domestic shipments (both externally and via inter-company transfers).
Manage the development of all logistics activities from the requisition to close-out, and assign requisitions, including Requests for Quotation or Proposal packages to appropriate Procurement personnel
Management and selection of Logistics Suppliers including onboarding, negotiation, due diligence, MSAs, KPIs monitoring, auditing, etc.
Manage Customs records to ensure compliance with local government regulations.
In-depth knowledge of International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS) and regulations associated with import/export
Understands IncoTerms, associated risk, and help mitigate as necessary.
Full understanding of customs clearance processes
Analyze situations, identify, and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and
recommend/implement
an appropriate course of action
Focus on Cost savings and avoidance during project execution
Occasional for travel for business related activities
Organize and prioritize a variety of complex projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines
Review, analyze, and negotiate Terms and Conditions, based on Prime Contract flow downs
Collaborating with cross- functional teams to provide support and guidance for logistics and customs activities for major equipment.
Evaluate existing capabilities and establish new systems and processes for tracking, measurement, reporting, and analysis of Logistics Operations
Identify process gaps, propose and drive implementation for scalable solutions
Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
Provides inputs for Project reporting as required.
Excellent organizational, technical writing and verbal communication skills required.
Willingness to drive project efficiency and know when to elevate and encourage Team for success
Maintain and harness strong Freight Forwarders relationship
Knowledge of Letter of Credits and review for inclusion of details
Handle and process freight claims
Learn various freight market trends based on seasonality, geography, and specialized carrier types to effectively communicate to Project Teams, Management, and all other Stakeholders
Support expediting existing orders as back up.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Technical
BS in related field or equivalent combinations of commercial training and/or related experience may be substituted for degree
Five (5) Years of progressive logistics experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP system
Experience dealing directly with customers.
