Description
Role: Director of Business Development - Verizon
Reports to: Sr. Director of Business Development
The Director of Business Development role works exclusively with (Verizon) to drive business for our (Semtech) product line. The individual who fills this role will seek new business opportunities by engaging with carrier teams, providing on-site trainings, and developing relationships to drive new joint business.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
· Daily outbound communications to Verizon representatives via calling, emailing, social media, etc.
· Engagement with Verizon/AT&T teams to develop and qualify new leads and graceful hand-off to Sales team
· Deliver onsite and online presentations to Verizon/AT&T teams
· Collect and record data measuring efforts
· Ongoing industry training and product knowledge
· Collaboration with Marketing team on lead generation campaigns
· Travel requirements approximately 50% of time
Requirements:
· 2-year degree or equivalent work experience in sales or business development
· Strong relationship skills and previous experience working with Verizon
· Ability to quickly grasp and understand wireless/mobility terminology and applications
· Modem, router or gateway experience preferred
· Comfortable with networking, social media, and other means to create and maintain a sufficient number of contacts
· Excellent communicator who uses proper grammar and spelling when speaking and writing
· Strong attention to detail with proficiency with all Microsoft Office products; CRM software experience ideal
