    **Position Purpose**

    Our organization is presently seeking a Regional Sales Manager responsible for directing all business activities of the West Region and identifying and developing human resource talent. Additionally, the RSM will implement the JTI USA sales strategies and programs to achieve the Companys sales volume, distribution, and expansion objectives in line with the mission of profitably growing the business.

    Position is remote within **Los Angeles, CA.**

    **Main Areas of Responsibilities**

    Achieve monthly/annual sales targets by implementing sales/marketing programs and activities and effectively managing and coaching the regional sales team.

    Participate in the development of, and implement trade plans that support corporate objectives.

    Work closely with Key Account Management to identify profitable opportunities.

    Develop "Top to Top" relationships with Key volume accounts.

    Lead the regional sales team by providing performance measures and feedback through the company performance management system constantly.

    Keep management apprised of critical issues, program evaluation, competitive activities, and market conditions to maximize opportunities and best practices.

    Establish and continuously maintain effective lines of communication with sales personnel to collect and update competitors' activity and market information

    **People management**

    Recruit, motivate, and guide the team's professional development, reporting directly and indirectly to the incumbent.

    Work closely with and support the Sales Director in achieving the Company's sales development objectives to expand into new markets to meet business development opportunities, including expansion in existing markets.

    **Education and Experience**

    BA/BS Degree, MBA preferred

    Number of subordinates: up to 40

    Number of direct reports up to 8

    8-12 years of sales experience in multi-national FMCG organizations.

    Tobacco experience preferred.

    Excellent MS Office experience required with proven proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

    Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Strong organizational and planning skills Self-starter with demonstrated strong work ethic
