Job Description:
Seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Human Resources with extensive exposure to full cycle and well rounded HR functionsAs the Director of Human Resources, you will play a vital role in overseeing all aspects of human resources management and ensuring compliance with California non-profit regulations.
Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership:
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization's mission and goals. Provide guidance and support to senior management on HR-related matters.
Talent Acquisition and Management:
Oversee the recruitment and selection process, ensuring the organization attracts and retains top talent. Develop and implement effective onboarding and retention programs.
Employee Relations:
Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related issues. Handle employee complaints and grievances in accordance with California non-profit regulations.
Performance Management:
Develop and implement performance management systems to ensure employees are meeting organizational goals. Provide coaching and support to managers on performance evaluation and improvement.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Implement professional development initiatives to support career growth and succession planning.
HR Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations in California, including but not limited to wage and hour laws, discrimination laws, and workplace safety regulations.
Benefits Administration:
Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and oversee open enrollment processes.
HR Administration:
Oversee HR administrative functions, including record-keeping, payroll processing, and HRIS management. Implement best practices to streamline HR processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification strongly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a non-profit or public sector environment.
Thorough understanding of California employment laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
