- Overseeing HR Information Systems, including data entry and supporting the VP, HR in implementing and maintaining the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Ensuring compliance with wage and hour regulations for hourly employees in California.
- Managing recruitment and disciplinary processes for hourly and operations positions, interpreting and communicating HR policies, and conducting internal investigations.
- Maintaining consistency and accountability by updating job descriptions and Organizational Charts.
- Handling wage garnishments and medical support orders.
- Managing employee leaves, including FMLA and PDL.
- Building and maintaining rapport with operations-related management.
- Being available 24/7 to address emergency HR-related issues in Operations..
- Facilitating communication between the HR Department and Plant/Warehouse Operations employees as needed.
- Managing government programs for new and temporary employees.
- Administering training programs, including scheduling, participant tracking, and coordination with external organizations for on-site training, such as lifestyle seminars conducted by EAP, Credit Union, and other agencies.
- Interpreting and communicating HR policies and procedures in collaboration with the VP of HR.
- 5+ years of experience in Human Resources preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- At least 2 years of experience in leadership.
- Bilingual proficiency in both Spanish and English is required
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of 3+ HR members effectively.
- Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, PowerPoint, and HR Information Systems.
