    JOB TITLE: Client Service Representative - Claims

    REPORTS TO: Senior Vice President of Operations

    EXEMPT/NON: Non-Exempt

    DIVISION: Horton Risk Advisory Solutions

    OVERVIEWBrief Summary

    The role of Client Service Representative - Claims involves having a solid understanding of general insurance coverages, terms, and procedures to provide assistance to clients and Claims Advocates.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include:

    • Enter claims details into EPIC system and attach claim correspondence with updates
    • Escalate legal claim documents to Advocates when necessary
    • Offer timely telephonic customer service for claims to both internal and external customers
    • Assist clients in resolving basic claim issues and escalate complex matters to advocates
    • Follow defined processes and procedures in workflow management, maintaining clear documentation of client and carrier interactions
    • Handle carrier claims download efficiently
    • Support claim advocates in delivering Horton's service strategy for each client effectively
    • Undertake additional tasks as needed, prioritizing workload with discretion and judgment

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    • Must acquire a Property and Casualty License within 75 days of joining
    • Basic understanding of commercial lines insurance coverages
    • Preference for AINS designation or similar within one year of employment
    • Preferably hold an AIC (Associate In Claims) or equivalent designation
    • Show dedication to ongoing learning by enhancing insurance knowledge through training and certifications
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Adherence to the expectations of the E&O Plus Quality Management Program

    Capable of:

    Extended computer use

    Lifting and carrying objects weighing at least 40 pounds
