Sophie Hinman

I am a recent graduate from DePaul University with a BFA in screenwriting and a minor in studio art. 

I have been an active member of the work force for 8 years, and have a variety of experience as a writer, tutor, child care worker, and customer service representative. 

I have worked as a peer tutor and writer at the DePaul University Writing Center; I was also a member of the outreach team. While at DePaul, I also worked as a member of the Vincentian Service Day Planning team. 

I have volunteered as an intern at Marillac st. Vincent Family Services, where I worked as an art docent for second graders, and created an organizational system for their art room. Also within the child care industry, I worked for two summers as a group instructor at Camp Galileo where I was in charge of guiding and instructing children ages 8-13 at the day camp. 

I also have extensive experience in the food service industry as a customer service representative; I have worked at the register at Dairy Queen, and Cheba Hut “Toasted” Subs, and as a barista at Peet's Coffee. 

I graduated from DePaul University in June of 2023 with a BFA in Film and Television, concentrating in screenwriting; I also obtained a minor in studio art. 

I graduated from Northgate High School (Walnut Creek, CA) in June of 2019.
