    Field Sales Manager – Mid-States Bolt & Screw Co.

    Distribution Experience Required – Michigan

    The FieldSales Mid will be responsible for leading our sales team, implementing effective sales strategies, tools and achieving revenue targets. The ideal candidate must have exceptional leadership and communication skills, a proven track record in sales for a distribution organization in a related industry, and the ability to drive the sales team to meet and exceed targets.

    Key Responsibilities

    Sales Strategy and Planning:

    • Collaborate with the VP, Sales, and Branch Managers to develop and implement a comprehensive, enterprise- wide sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.
    • Collaborate with executive team to align sales goals with overall company objectives.

    Revenue Growth and Expansion:

    • Meets and exceeds sales targets through collaboration with Branch Managers and Territory Managers.
    • Assists in creating and executing a territory sales plan that meets or exceeds established sales goals while supporting the overall company business objectives.
    • Pursues new business opportunities and market segments to drive revenue growth.
    • Establishes and implements best practices across the sales organization.

    Team Leadership and Management:

    • Works in coordination with the VP Sales and the Branches to hire, train, coach and develop sales team.
    • Maintains positive leadership, gives frequent performance feedback, conducts regularly scheduled meetings, encourages two-way participation and ideas.
    • Complies with and enforces all policies and procedures.
    • Reviews and revises all activities to maximize the efficiency of sales processes.
    • Shares lessons learned and best practices.
    • Coordinates with Branch Managers on the performance management of sales team including, reviews, corrective action, career paths, development plans and performance improvement plans.
    • Assists in the recruiting, training, and onboarding of new sales professionals, ensuring they are equipped with the tools and knowledge to excel in their roles.
    • Designs and implements a sales training process and supporting tools.
    • Develops coaching cadence through regularly scheduled meetings to review Territory Managers plans, performance metrics, strategic initiatives, and career development progression.

    Customer Focus:

    • Builds and maintains strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
    • Engages with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet or exceed their expectations.
    • Addresses and resolves customer concerns to ensure excellent post-sale support and service.
    • Supports Territory Managers through customer escalations as appropriate.

    Sales Performance Analysis:

    • Establishes key data metrics for the Territory Managers and analyzes the data, access progress towards goals.
    • Implements data-driven decision-making processes to continually refine sales strategies and tactics.
    • Develops and presents regular sales reports to the executive team.
    • Leverages field level intelligence to develop strategic plans and forecast.
    • Regularly reviews and analyzes sales dashboards and customer reports to identify opportunities to accelerate revenue growth.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
    • 5 or more years of sales experience and/or sales training experience.
    • Previous experience in industrial distribution sales, with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
    • 3 or more years of progressive sales management experience.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
    • Showcases a professional appearance and presence at all times with a variety of customers, distributors, and other internal or external personnel.
    • Proven track record of positive sales performance through utilizing strong verbal and written skills, superb presentation, sales, and customer service skills.
    • Experience traveling to assist team members and interacting with clients.
    • Experience creating and leading training sessions relating to sales and distributor training.
    • Strong task management on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly timetable.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from top management, groups of managers, subordinates, clients, etc.
    • Attention to detail, self-directed, self-motivated, ability to handle high volume workload, and changing priorities in a high-paced department.
    • Ability to travel up to 35% of the time.
    • Current and valid driver's license required.
