Our client in the public accounting space is seeking an

Accounting Manager

to oversee the financial reporting process for various adviser entities, encompassing both private and public funds. The ideal candidate should possess a robust understanding of GAAP.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$135,000+ bonus

Position Overview:

The Accounting Manager provide guidance, training, and leadership to team members on the technical accounting requirements of each legal entity and related processes.

The Accounting Manager lead the implementation of new accounting standards, including technical assessment and development of written policies and memos.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:
Supervise day-to-day financial entity operations
Deliver timely and accurate accounting and reporting while managing multiple entities and accounts
Conduct weekly team meetings and collaborate with the Controller on additional projects as needed
Review team members' work to ensure accuracy and completeness
Prepare analyses for internal and external requests
Drive ad-hoc projects and initiatives of the Firm
Manage treasury processes, including wires, cash planning, and forecasting
Oversee the annual audit process with external auditors and manage all audit deliverables
Assist the Controller with internal budget and cash analysis processes
Serve as a liaison with other department leads
Work independently while effectively managing team priorities
Demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Qualifications for the Accounting Manager:

5 to7+ years of professional accounting experience, 4+ years in public accounting preferred
Previous experience in team management
Strong knowledge of accounting principles
High attention to detail with a grasp of the broader context
Proven ability to organize and prioritize work for self and others
Consistently demonstrate a strong work ethic and collaborative approach
Ability to understand, compile, and analyze data
Display confidence and professionalism at all times
Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
CPA is strongly preferred
