    Job Summary:

    The Federal Income Tax Associate Manager is expected to manage the preparation and presentation of information necessary for the accurate and timely completion of corporate tax requirements and processes. The Federal Income Tax Associate Manager is expected to work on and manage matters that would include tax compliance, tax accounting, and adhoc projects. Insurance experience in compliance and reporting is required.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Review of GAAP and SSAP 101 tax provisions including account reconciliations and journal entries
    • Review of insurance and non insurance federal returns including return to provision and deferred tax validation
    • Communicate with and apprise tax management on issues and status of projects, including presenting recommended solutions to issues
    • Support tax needs of business units and enterprise initiatives
    • Participate in implementation of steps needed to adjust tax processes in area of responsibility that are impacted by changes in tax or accounting environment

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    This job has supervisory duties.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
    • 5 or more years of related experience preferred

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

    No Certification, License or Registration is required for the job.

    Functional Skills:

    • Advanced knowledge of tax insurance concepts needed to execute job responsibilities
    • Ability to independently perform complex tax or accounting analysis or research of issues that impact area of responsibility
    • SAP and S4 HANA experience is a plus
    • Data analytic experience is a plus

    Compensation offered for this role is$84,500.00-$149,750.00 per yearand is based on experience and qualifications.

    The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
