Our mission is to improve the energy and environmental performance of the appliances & equipment we use every day, accelerating our transition to a more sustainable world. We work hand-in-hand with governments, experts, industry, consumers, donor organizations, partner NGOs, and others to propel policies and markets toward the highest-quality, least resource-intensive appliances possible.

    • Oversee the organization's insurance portfolio (excludes benefit programs) and work with our broker as needed to update policies.
    • Maintain and develop relationships with external consultants, partners and other stakeholders.

      • Oversee vendors supporting the office (e.g. Verizon, Waterlogic, Royal Cup).
    • Support the Administrative, Finance, Human Resources, Legal & Contracting, and Program Teams as needed.
    • Coordinating the operations team, such as team meetings.
    • Opening bank accounts in other countries
    • Supporting policy development and updates, enhancing strategic business processes, and creating standard operating procedures.

    Who You Are:

    • A Do-er. You are solutions-oriented, a problem-solver looking for the best solution(s) to whatever challenge you're confronted with. You don't wait for instruction. Instead, you proactively look for ways to offer support and be of use. You are an expert organizer and planner who consistently anticipates needs before they arise.
    • An Effective Collaborator. You've successfully worked across cultural lines on a diverse team, and can operate effectively in complex situations. You can easily gain trust from team members and are known for supporting them to ensure they are set up for success. You're not afraid to ask questions.
    • Direct and Proactive. You are straightforward, honest, and loyal. You are confident enough to be candid, direct, and focused enough on efficacy to be comfortable working behind the scenes.
    • Resourceful and Adaptable. You're at ease with ambiguity and rapid change. You possess a positive attitude and identify creative solutions to obstacles. You can juggle many essential responsibilities at once and are rigorous about prioritizing.

    What You'll Need
    • 5-8 years of professional experience in office infrastructure management and/or operations.
    • Project management experience with the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Demonstrated comfort and fluency with Excel and numbers generally.
    • The ability to handle multiple deadlines and complete assignments with minimal supervision in a fast-paced workplace.
    • Impeccable organization, you are highly detail-oriented and someone who gets a real sense of satisfaction from producing polished work and managing smooth and orderly processes.
    • Ability and willingness to perform a range of tasks - from researching new software to getting the mail to staff-wide phishing training.

CLASP provides its employees with a highly competitive salary that is benchmarked annually with other non-profit organizations in the DC metropolitan area. CLASP also provides a comprehensive benefits package, including fully paid health insurance for individuals and competitive rates for families/dependents, unlimited leave and all federal holidays, an impressive match of employee contributions to the 403b retirement plan, and a collegial office environment that supports professional development, wellness, and flexible telecommuting options.

This position is full-time, and you must already be based in, or be willing to relocate to, Washington, DC. This role is expected to be in the office (1401 K Street, NW. Washington, DC) two days a week. The rest of the week, you are free to work from home during our regular office hours.

The hiring range for this position is an annual salary range of $85,000-100,000 per year. The final salary within this range will be determined based on work location and relevant experience.

    The Application Process
CLASP has engaged Equitable Hiring Group to support this hiring process. To apply, please complete the short form to the right.

Individuals who apply by Tuesday, March 26th, will be given priority; therefore, we encourage you to submit yours soon

When you apply, we kindly ask you to remove your schools from your resume. There is no need to reformat your resume and leave your degree as is; simplify it to "B.A. Economics," for example. Just remember to remove any undergraduate and graduate school name references where possible. This "bias-reduced" process is aimed at opening this opportunity to more candidates, reviewing applicants on performance assessments instead of resume proxies (e.g., where you went to school).

This evaluation process will follow practices shown to reduce bias in decision-making and may be different from other application processes you have experienced.

The overall evaluation process will look to follow this anticipated timeline:

    • Late March: Selected candidates asked to complete short answer questions
    • Early April: Video interview with CLASP Staff
    • Mid-April: Finalist candidates will be asked to complete a timed trial assignment
    • Late April: Finalists will participate in a multi-team member panel interview
      • Candidate references will also be checked at this step
    • Late April: Offer extended

If you have any questions about the opportunity, please feel free to email
