    LHH is looking for a full-time Accounts Payable Specialistto join our client-growing company in Kirkland, WA. This role is a 6-month contract position that will be fully onsite in in Seattle, WA


    Job Title:
    Accounts Payable Specialist

    Job Overview:
    We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team.

    The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of accounts payable.

    The Accounts Payable Specialist will collaborate with various departments, vendors, and internal stakeholders to streamline processes and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.


    Responsibilities:

    Invoice Processing:
    Receive, review, and process incoming invoices for goods and services.

    Verify accuracy of invoices, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies.


    Payment Processing:
    Prepare and process electronic and check payments.

    Reconcile payments and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.

    Ensure timely and accurate disbursement of funds.


    Vendor Management:
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor information in the system.

    Communicate with vendors to resolve inquiries, discrepancies, and payment-related issues.


    Expense Reconciliation:
    Reconcile and analyze employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.

    Work closely with employees to address discrepancies and provide guidance on expense policies.


    Recordkeeping and Reporting:
    Maintain organized and comprehensive records of all accounts payable transactions.

    Generate regular reports on accounts payable status, aging, and other relevant metrics.


    Compliance and Auditing:
    Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and legal regulations.

    Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.


    Process Improvement:
    Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in accounts payable procedures.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and enhancements.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

    Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.

    Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

    Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.

    Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

    Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance.


    Compensation:
    $30-$35/hour
