Our company is currently seeking ​an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team You will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records for a food distribution company.

Responsibilities:

• Processing outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Perform day to day financial transactions, including, verifying, classifying and recording AP data
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
• Verify and investigate any discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in accounts payable or finance, or a related field
• Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook. Sage experience is a plus
• Experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
