    Summary: Trident is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support the business by providing a variety of specialized services within Accounts Payable and by ensuring accurate and timely invoice and payment processing. The ideal candidate is motivated, curious, results-oriented, and committed to providing outstanding customer service every day.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Reviews, verifies, and troubleshoots all incoming invoices as assigned
    • Posts invoices as assigned including 3-way match
    • Responds to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
    • Assists in month-end closing activities
    • Ensures compliance to corporate policy and department procedures
    • Maintains files and documentation in accordance with invoice/payment guidelines and generally accepted accounting practices.
    • Maintains internal controls as required per company policy
    • Maintains a high level of productivity
    • Participates in or manage assigned special projects
    • Collaborates with peers, leaders and business partners to ensure a successful outcome in all assignments
    Additional Responsibilities:
    • Other responsibilities, as assigned
    • Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions
    • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings
    This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $25 to $30.

    Trident Seafoods offers a comprehensive and quality benefits package. Full time employees may be eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance plans, optional HRA/HSA, telemedicine, employee assistance and wellness programs, basic life and AD&D, and 401(k) with a company match, vacation, sick time, 10 paid holidays each year, and paid parental leave. For full-time employees, the initial vacation benefit starts at 10 days per year, adjusted commensurate with relevant experience, and 7 days of sick leave per year (9 in Seattle), accrued bi-weekly. Commuter and transit programs are also available.

    Minimum Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications
    • 2+ years Accounts Payable in a medium to large company
    • Two-year Associate Degree in Accounting; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Strong understanding of accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures including financial chart of accounts
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Prior experience working with SAP
    • Detail-oriented, professional attitude, reliable
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Strong problem-solving skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis
    • Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities
    • Basic accounting principles knowledge
    • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
    • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
    Physical Demands:
