    Description


    A Japanese water engineering company providing water infrastructure solutions since 1946 is seeking Senior Sales Representative / Business Development Manager as one of the founding members of their first subsidiary in the US.


    The company operates in various sectors including plant constructions, operation and maintenance, product sales, steel pipe manufacturing, and alternative energy.


    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


    Responsible for developing and implementing marketing and sales plans, creating brand awareness, analyzing market trends, planning sales events, and building relationships with local businesses.

    Sales and negotiation with government agencies and client companies to achieve revenue targets.

    Enhance overall trust in the company and build strong networks by providing accurate solutions to the needs and challenges of government agencies and other client customers.

    Emphasize win-win relationships in negotiations with client companies, similar to spec-in activities for solution adoption, and pursue common interests.
    Progress negotiations with input from legal and specialist advice regarding partnership contract terms and agreements.
    Development of business strategies and M&A strategies to achieve business plan objectives.
    Understand current market trends and customer needs through competitive analysis and market research.

    Identify areas for improvement in products or services based on customer requests and complaints, provide feedback to manufacturers, and enhance product and proposal capabilities.

    Explore entry into new markets or customer segments and develop strategies for such expansion.
    Seek M&A opportunities and develop strategic partnerships or acquisition schemes.
    Organizational management and recruitment/training of personnel.
    Develop (monthly) sales activity plans based on organizational goals and clarify roles and responsibilities of team members.
    Conduct regular mutual performance evaluations and feedback sessions to encourage growth and improvement.

    Well organized and motivated to expand business opportunities with goals of meeting KPI's which includes building a business foundation in water and sewage related equipment and materials.


    Daily tasks:
    Visiting project sites, potential customer offices, and industry events to generate new business.
    Sewer pipeline rehabilitation routing alternatives design proposal and analysis.
    Project permitting with municipalities and coordination with regulatory agencies.
    Manage sales of pipeline rehabilitation projects from lead to close.
    Develop and maintain relationships with target construction companies.
    Review project documents and quote and close jobs effectively.
    Communicate with existing and potential customers via various channels.
    Attend industry events, meetings, and conduct sales presentations.
    Analyze customer and market segments needs to drive business growth.
    Assist Area Manager in broadening business opportunities.
    Report on progress towards sales of KPI's.
    Develop sales strategies, budgets, forecasts, and plans.
    Conduct field investigations, inspections, and write reports.
    Assist with client communication and project management.
    Determine cost-effective bidding approaches and implement the best value-added approach for each project.
    Prepare required documents, project schedules, and budgets.
    Represent the company at public hearings/meetings.

    Qualification Requirements:
    Must have previous experience in business-to-business sales and a solid customer service background.
    Track record of surpassing sales targets.
    Industry experience in water and sewage equipment/materials, sewer pipeline rehabilitation, public works/civil engineering, and factory/commercial wastewater construction strongly preferred.

    Must possess or quickly develop a complete and thorough knowledge of all excavation, inspection, and products and services for public works.

    Must have exemplary written/communication and interpersonal skills, have an ambitious and entrepreneurial personality, and be engaging and social with the ability to listen well.

    Must be dedicated, self-motivated, and creative.
    Must be professional, reliable, team oriented, and organized with the ability to work on multiple jobs/tasks at once.
    Must be willing and able to travel occasionally.
    Must demonstrate general computer literacy and be experienced with Microsoft office programs.
    Must have a bachelor's degree
