    California Highway Patrol

    JC Office Assistant
    OFFICE ASSISTANT (TYPING)

    $3, $4,190.00 per Month

    Job Description and Duties

    Courteously and professionally answer and screen incoming telephone calls from the public, other Area offices, and allied agencies. Obtain pertinent information from callers in order to direct calls to the proper Area personnel and/or provide information and/or assistance using available resources. Key data searches into the California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (CLETS) or the CLETS Electronic Record Tracking (CERT) for the status of stored vehicles and/or data into the California Automated Reporting System (CARS) for collision report requests. Greet visitors and maintain visitor sign-in log. Take information on abandoned vehicles/traffic complaints and log into appropriate database. Retrieve monies from secured cabinet in the morning and ensure monies are secure at the close of each business day. Send out the weekly Arrest Log to authorized recipients. Complete Public Records Act Quarterly Report.

    Working Conditions

    Monday through Friday 0800 to 1700 hours, with potential for AWW 9/8/80.
