Experience
In my current role as a research assistant, I work on a clinical research study focused on helping breast cancer survivors regain better cognitive functions. In this role, I actively recruited participants through phone and email correspondence, ensuring their eligibility by conducting comprehensive telephone surveys regarding medical history and lifestyle habits. During clinic visits, I administer memory games and questionnaires to gather valuable data. I am also proficient in data entry, utilizing REDCap databases for accurate record-keeping. Additionally, I handle various office procedures, including paperwork management, mailing Actigraph devices, and scheduling appointments, contributing to the smooth operation of the study.
In my previous role as a medical assistant, I had the opportunity to contribute to various aspects of patient care and administrative tasks. This included handling patient check-in, verifying insurance information, and performing various administrative duties such as managing paperwork, corresponding with patients, and ensuring accurate documentation. Additionally, I was responsible for preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, and obtaining comprehensive medical histories. I also had the opportunity to assist with laboratory work, including conducting COVID-19 and flu testing. Throughout these experiences, I had the privilege of shadowing physicians, gaining valuable insights into their practice and further enhancing my understanding of healthcare delivery.
Education
I hold a BSc in Biology with a minor in Chinese Studies, graduating in 2022 with a 3.81 GPA. Additionally, I am a licensed Certified Phlebotomist (CPT-1).
