- Bachelors Degree or Clinical License
- Minimum of 1-2 years of Business Development experience in healthcare
- Minimum of 1-2 years of supervisory experience
- Clinical knowledge as a LPN/RN, RT, etc.
- Long term acute care (LTAC) experience highly preferred
- Operational knowledge of an acute care hospital
- Referral source relationship building
- Understand and apply Medicare/private payor insurance processes and regulations related to long-term acute care
- Adherence to HIPAA rules and regulations when discussing patients

Description
LeaderStat is seeking a motivated Director of Business Development for a long-term acute care hospital in the Athens, Georgia area. The Director of Business Development is responsible for generating appropriate referrals for our Long-Term Acute Care hospital in a designated territory as well as being responsible for the entire assigned territory's results. This includes completing the clinical evaluations and coordination of the admissions/approval process.
This role is responsible for all activities that drive patient referrals and support awareness/education and utilization of the hospital's services to customer groups and other community members. This position involves one-on-one interactions with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to understand and assess patient needs and how that patient may fit within our services to meet assigned admissions & referral goals.
The DBD provides guidance to the clinical liaison team and supports them in their designated territories.
