    Accounts Payable Specialist

    We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist with proven accounts payable experience. Broader experience with procurement and general accounting is a plus.

    The hired candidate will also need strong communication and problem solving skills, the ability to work well in a team environment, a focus on enhancing controls and improving processes and a desire to invest in building a successful career with a premier firm.

    Bessemer Trust is the largest privately held wealth manager in the nation. Bessemer Trust provides family office services for high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as their businesses, trusts and foundations. The majority of finance and operations are in Woodbridge, NJ and this job will be based there.

    Responsibilities


    • Ensure that all purchase orders and invoices are processed timely and accurately with appropriate documentation and approvals
    • Ensure that invoices are appropriately coded for general ledger and tax reporting
    • Communicate with vendors as needed and manage follow up of needed information
    • Process complex vendor allocations by spreadsheet and ensure timely payments
    • Audit and approve employee expense reports via Concur as well as communicate and enforce the company's travel and business expense policy
    • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues
    • Maintain/create/enhance accounts payable and corporate accounting reports and spreadsheets
    • Working with the corporate accounting team on our close acceleration project, including enhancements to expense reporting
    Qualifications


    • Bachelor's degree
    • A minimum of 5 years accounts payable experience
    • Knowledge of general accounting policies and expense procedures
    • Proven ability to work well in a team environment
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent attention to detail and highly motivated
    • Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion or an equivalent ERP system, highly preferred
    • Strong knowledge of excel
    • Able to work overtime as required, sometimes with short notice
