Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately processing and recording all payable transactions. This is a vital role within our organization, ensuring that our financial records are accurate and up-to-date.


Duties:


  • Process accounts payable invoices and payments in a timely manner
  • Review and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization
  • Prepare and process check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and update as necessary
  • Assist with monthend closing activities related to accounts payable
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper coding and approval of invoices
  • Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist with internal and external audits related to accounts payable
  • Stay uptodate with industry standards, regulations, and best practices

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role
  • Solid understanding of corporate accounting principles, procedures, and standards (GAAP)
  • Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
  • Strong knowledge of debits, credits, and general ledger accounts
  • Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., Paychex) is a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred

Pay:
$40, $55,000.00 per year
