    Description

    Solar Project Development Manager | Remote in TX | Global IPP

    We are collaborating with a Global IPP that is responsible for overseeing 1GW of projects under construction throughout the United States, in addition to having various advanced development initiatives. The company also provides the flexibility of remote work.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee the development of renewable energy projects in the United States.
    • Independently manage and drive forward complex projects to achieve key development milestones from initial exploration to Notice to Proceed.
    • Guide the permitting process for Solar, BESS, and Wind projects.
    • Prepare permit applications, participate in client meetings, collaborate with project professionals, and support the development of junior staff.
    • Visit project sites to engage with landowners, permitting authorities, and local stakeholders.
    • Collaborate closely with the International Development Department.

    Requirements

    • Demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently within tight timelines.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project permitting and development.
    • Proficiency in land acquisition processes.
    • Familiarity with state-level regulatory bodies and relevant energy storage interest groups.
    • Understanding of local and state-level permitting procedures.
    • Prior experience working in Texas is essential; exposure to other states and ISOs would be advantageous.
